Map Products
The connector doesn’t directly sync products between eBay & Odoo, instead, it creates a layer above Odoo products called eBay Products. While performing this process it will sync eBay products with existing Odoo products. To make it happen you need to navigate to Catalog / Products and select the products.
There were two different ways to Map products with Odoo to eBay Layer.
- Export In CSV/XLSX file
- Export In eBay Layer
1. Export In CSV/XLSX file
Go to Catalog / Products and select the products. Click on the Action button and choose Export.
After clicking Export, a new pop-up window will be opened. Select Export Format as export in XLSX or CSV file and click on export button.
After clicking on the Export button, It will create a CSV/XLSX file with the following columns.
- Product Name
- Instance
- eBay Site
- Exported Product To eBay?
- Total Variants
- Exported Variants
- Active Variants
Under the product name enter the SKU of eBay Product and save the file. Use that CSV/XLSX file for importing products in the eBay layer by navigating to eBay > Operations / Map eBay Products and upload the CSV/XLSX file. Please select the respective instance and click on the Execute button.
After performing this operation products are created in eBay Layer and it will be located at eBay > Catalog > Products & Product Variants.
The system will set data like the Odoo Product Template, eBay Product SKU, Variants details, Instance, Product Type, and Name of the Product. Some of the product data are still not set in the eBay product layer, like eBay fees, listing history, categories etc.
That will be set after performing the Import Products Operation.
2. Export In eBay Layer
Select this option while you are managing the products with the same Name on the eBay site and odoo sides. So using this option, Directly products are mapped from odoo to eBay layer.
