Product Sync/Import

The connector doesn’t directly sync products between Amazon & Odoo, instead, it creates a layer above Odoo products called Amazon Products. While performing this process it will sync amazon products with existing Odoo products and if the product is not found then based on configuration system will auto-create product in Odoo. 

 

Odoo’s internal reference number = Amazon Seller SKU → Sync Active products 

Odoo’s internal reference number ≠ Amazon Seller SKU → Import Products

When to use Sync Active Product feature:

When a seller is already using Odoo with numerous products in the database and having the same SKU as Amazon then 

you just need to use the Sync Active Product function and it will sync all the Odoo products with Amazon. You do not 

need to export the product separately.

Sync Process:​ You can sync the products in 2 ways:

1. From Amazon Operations

Amazon / Operation / Select Seller / Select Operation for FBA & FBM / Select Sync active products.

Here, while synchronising active products with Odoo products, you can select to Auto Create Products if not found in Odoo and update Amazon price in Odoo price lists which have been created for each marketplace.

 

The sync process will search for SKU in Amazon products. If SKU is found then it will update with latest data received from the report -> if not found in amazon products, it will search in Odoo products in Sales -> Products -> Variants -> if in Odoo SKU is found then it will add those products to the amazon product in Amazon -> Products -> All variants -> if SKU is not found even in Odoo products then it will create skip line log which can be checked from Mismatch details or in Amazon -> Log -> Amazon Process Job Log. Once the products get synchronised, the status of the report is changed to Processed.

Sync process to be followed in the below case: 

  • When Products are available in both Odoo and Amazon with the same SKU and Odoo Internal reference.
  • When you have the product in Amazon but there is no product in Odoo and you want to create a product in Odoo with the internal reference same as Amazon SKU.

When to use Import Product:

 

This feature is helpful for fresh implementation and even when the Amazon SKU and Odoo Internal Reference numbers are not the same. In the case of fresh implementation, products will be created in Odoo and in case of varied SKU mapping is to be performed.

Import process: 

Go to ​**Amazon / Operations / Amazon Seller / select Operations for FBA & FBM / Select operation import product 

/ Upload File (As per sample file format) / Click on Import Product**.

The sample file will have 5 columns viz. - Title, Internal Reference, Seller SKU, Marketplace, Fulfilment. 

 
Title: This will be your Amazon Product title.
Internal Reference: You will find this from the Odoo Product.
Seller SKU: It is your Amazon SKU.
Fulfilment: It is either AFN or MFN, AFN refer to FBA and MFN refer to FBM.
Marketplace: It will be in which country are you selling the product Eg, Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk etc.

 

Export products file from Amazon (or else Download active products list as mentioned in the Sync product process) & 

Import products from Amazon to Odoo using the template, it will be displayed under products / all variants. if these products are not available in Odoo then it will also create in Odoo products.

 

Multiple Amazon products under the same Odoo products can be managed. In this case, internal reference will be the 

same and seller SKU will vary.

Import operation is to be performed in the below cases:

  • When Products are available in both Odoo and Amazon but Amazon SKU and Odoo internal reference are not the same.
  • When you have products available on Amazon but there is no product in Odoo and you want to create products in Odoo with the internal reference not the same as Amazon SKUs.
